Louise M. Paglen
13420 Reese Boulevard West
Huntersville, NC 28078

Louise dedicates her practice to providing legal services to families and small businesses. She practices in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning and asset protection, guardianship, probate and estate administration. Louise is passionate about helping her clients keep their family farms in their families, their financial matters private, and their loved ones cared for. Louise understands that providing legal services to families often involves planning and advocating for her clients’ most precious assets: parents, children, spouses, siblings, relatives, friends, and pets.

Throughout her career, Louise has always been committed to improving her education and increasing her knowledge so she could provide the highest level of service to her clients. Louise earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from North Carolina State University and graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill. She completed an online Masters degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University. Prior to founding Paglen Law Office, Louise focused her career on helping other lawyers comply with ethical guidelines and avoid legal malpractice claims by managing the risks associated with practicing law. She now helps families manage the risks of growing older.

Louise believes that conflicts are usually best resolved by thoughtful negotiation. She is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a Mediator for family financial settlement matters in District Court and estate matters in probate court.

Louise is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Elder Law and Family Law Sections, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and the National Care Planning Council. She is also accredited by the Veterans Administration, a prerequisite for advising veterans and their survivors regarding VA benefits.
