apersonwhocares, it is a situation where the bladder "falls" and the person feels the pressure to go all the time. There is a new tampon type product that will help with this as it helps to push the bladder back up, apparently it works, but I wouldn't know if this would be easy for an elder to use.... probably not.

Our caregiver is taking care of my grandma everyday to night
8:00 am to 5:30pm. Sometimes my GM go to the center for her to play bingo with other seniors. My mom and the caregiver also let her wear pads everyday, so she can pee in her diaper. I'm not sure if she has urinary infection or vaginal infection? That can cause her to pee more?

Has grandma been checked for a urinary infection or vaginal infection? If it's all checked and it is all OK, get some diapers for adults that fit grandma. It sounds like she should not be home alone now.

apersonwhocares, please note, as jeannegibbs did above, that your Grandmother has no control over this... it is just something that happens to the bladder and hopefully a doctor could prescribed something to help.

I know it can be annoying for your Mom, but it will come a time when your own Mom will run into this bladder situation herself. There are AZO products over-the-counter pills that might help, but first check with Grandmother's primary doctor first. Some say that cranberry juice is also good.

I hope Grandmother is using Poise pads in her underwear, that helps in case she has to go but no one is nearby to help her to the restroom. My own Mom used those for awhile before moving onto Depends type products.

Yes, it is annoying. But GronadMother is not doing this to annoy or to piss anyone off. The damage to her brain makes her unable to accurately interpret the signals from her bladder. This is pretty common in dementia.

This should be discussed with GMa's doctor. Perhaps there is something that will reduce this problem.

It sounds like maybe this is too much for your Mom to handle alone. Who is with GMa while Mom is working? Is there any paid in-home help coming in?
