I need to have her live with me and my husband she can not take care of her home. I was horrified when I was home last. I had to do some fancy foot work to get her to consider coming home with me. my second bedroom is on the second floor can I get a stair chair for her I have a wheel chair. She has been blind since 13 and now is 82 dad is gone and she is very very depressed these 9 years. will not come out of her bedroom. Dad took care of her being blind. I might have to quit working to stay with her can I get help financially

She may qualify for Medicaid (likely she's already on it). I'd talk with her doctor about nursing home care. I know you'd rather have her in your home, which is fine if you can afford to quit work to do this. But if you can't, a nearby nursing home where you can visit often may be good for her. She sounds like she's been depressed for years, so more medical attention could help.
Good luck,
Carol

Is your bedroom on the first floor? If so, can you move upstairs and have her on the 1st floor. How about some day time care? An adult day time center? Yes, these options have price tags but so does quitting work. Is there other family near by to help out? Can her present home be sold to provide resources for care giving for her?

I have been the sole caregiver for my 95 year old disabled mother since 2004. care providers were coming to the house once or twice a week, and everyone has been getting paid. I'm disabled myself and work around the clock. However, I've never been paid a dime all these years. I do everything for her and am praised by the nurse and all of her doctors for giving her such great care, she doesn't even have bed sores. How can I get paid. Finally, what do I need to do to have her turn over her 50% share in the house, etc.?
