My mother at the age of 85 some times behave funny. When she gets a normal headache and I give a low dose pain killer, next day she complains that she had constipation problem because of the medicine I gave. There will be no connection at all. This happens for many other situations. How to tackle this inconsistent issue.

I don't understand what you are asking. What do you mean by "behave funny"? Is thinking that the pain killer caused constipation an example of what you mean?

Is the main issue that she sometimes doesn't identify cause and effect correctly?

Perhaps if you give more examples we'll be able to respond better.
