My 89 yr old dad is now in an assisted living facility. All of the little money he had left goes to the facility until the VA picks it up. His teeth have gotten to the point where the dentist recomends they be pulled and replaced with dentures. The VA won't help nor will Medicare. Is there any help out there for dental care?

Our township has a dental van that goes around to help folks who need assistance with their dental care. I'd start calling your Area Agency for Aging or your township office or city government to see if they know of any help. Also check with the nearest dental college/university to see if they have any help for low-income patients. If you're on Facebook, post on there and see if you can find any help. Google dental assistance for low income patients plus your town's name. Good luck!!

Also check with your United Way agency to see what they offer.
