I can’t use either of those. They are too expensive.

Gaga, you have a mistaken idea of what Forum is. It is up to you to find and check out your own agencies. Forum is a group of caregivers or those who did give care, here to answer questions about caregiving. That I know of none of us have any caregiving professional agencies. We cannot be hired. The ads you see on the site are sponsors of the site much in the same way you see ads on your favorite TV programs. If you wish to check them out do so. Click on the ad and contact them with your questions, observations and complaints.

Did you do a search for places in your area? Thats all it is, a search. This site is for information only. You need to call the agencies suggested and check them out. I see u have a post asking if we do background checks. Sorry, this site is not an agency. We do not provide Caregivers.
You are posting on a forum of Caregivers who share our experiences and try to help each other. You are welcome to continue to post questions. We can point you in the right direction, we just can't do the leg work for you.

Try Medicaid and ask about "in home services". You may get help there if Mom hits the criteria. Call your County Office of Aging and see if they can do an evaluation. Seems you could do with some help. They may be able to provide you with resources.
