My child says the same about me. Think she may be on to something. She is right.

I went to bake potatoes last night. They were not in the oven. I looked around and found them in the pot on top of stove.....

I remember putting items into a crock pot before I left for work. After work when I arrived at home I didn't smell the wonderful aroma of what should have been simmering. Silly me, I forgot to turn on the crock pot :P

So don't fret, the crock pot thing for me happened over 20 years ago. It is so easy for us to get side tracked.

Amy, it's difficult to make any suggestions without knowing a little more about what's happened so far.

Your mother lives alone? And you and your twin sister are becoming concerned about her? What have you already tried?

At her next doc appt you can discretely ask them to do a cognitive test and urinalysis to check for a UTI (which can mimic dementia symptons or make dementia worse. Can be cleared up with antibiotics). This way she'll have a "baseline" and you'll have a better idea. Some people have gone to neurologists to get even more information and plan of how to deal with it but you may need a referral. Countrymouse asked for more info, which I agree would help the community to give you more specific suggestions.
