I'm 76, in poor health & have no family. If my husb. passes before me I'm worried about managing my finances. Money is not a problem but don't know who to get or trust to help me manage it. Accountant? How do I know they're honest? Our financial "set-up" is quite complicated and husb. refuses to simplify it for me in event he's disabled or dies. And I am too ill to go about pursuing this, ie. he has to drive me and won't do so. Hope entire text posts this time.

Is your husband ill?

What is his response to your concerns? He doesn't need to simplify the finances, but if you're finding that you don't think you can manage them, he can set them up in a trust, with his lawyer or banker as trustee.

Can you discuss that with hin?

You might seek out the advice of an elder law attorney who would be willing to come to your house
