Hello. My father has dementia. He moves about with difficulty. Recently he even doesn't describe that he needs to go to bathroom well. I had to use diapers. But sometimes in the middle of the night he takes his penis out of diaper and wets everywhere else than his diaper. I'm frustrated. What am I to do? Any advice other than sleeping pills? It throws him off his little balance he has. Thanks.

There are garments that your father would not be able to get out of according to posts I’ve read here on the forum. It sounded like a toddlers onesie or jumpsuit that perhaps buttons or zips on the back making it difficult for him to get to the diaper. Check Amazon.

Oh...brings back memories....
My husband used to do what I called "repositioning himself" so I had to deal with a lot of leaks!
There are adult "onsies" that you can try. It does make changing him a little more difficult.
I also tried the "rubber" or waterproof pants that go over the brief. (either tab type or pull up type)
Don't know if this would work for your dad or not but there are condom catheters that might help. At least the urine would be contained.
A real good absorbent under pad is crucial. A good one will absorb a LOT. The ones I got were very large, washable ones. Happened to find them on the Costco Website the manufacturer is Conni. they have absorbent underwear as well as pads.

Thanks for the tips. I use disposable absorbent pads for the mattress, but then I've to change that, plus the sheets and all of his cloths in the middle of the night, when we both are sleepy. :/

I'm thinking of making a onsie myself, which would be easier for me open up and change him. Meanwhile I think I make him wear pants with a belt, so at least he makes some noise and I wake up before everything is wet again. lol Thanks.

Before you try making a "onsie" take his PJ's and add "Velcro" at 3 or 4 points at the waist and the top of the PJ's and attach them. It will be more difficult for him to get his hands in the pants and sew up the fly if it has an open fly front.

I actually thought that I would buy an oversized tank top and add a strip down there with velcros on the back. Nothing complicated.
