I’m suggesting another option...... like today go and get a postal mail box. Some of the freestanding UPS stores rent these. You will need to rent it as it requires a current drivers license to do. And this becomes mom’s new address for everything from today on. Also it allows mail to build up so like you go once a Week, twice a month and check to see what’s there and deal with it.

if you live and have a college or university nearby, there will be an private mailing and shipping store and these usually too have postal address boxes for rent. If so, this would be where I’d get the mail box at. You’ll develop relationships with the owners and they’ll let you know. When box is full or something interesting comes in.

if your in mom should end up going onto Medicaid, due to the income co-pay requirements of LTC Medicaid IF she has any outstanding debts (like credit cards), she will end up defaulting on those debts. So having that mailing box as her address will be a very good thing to have done and keep her address and yours from commingling for debt collections.

If there’s only a place for one address on a form, I use my home address. But if a form has a designated Mailing address VS street address I use both, hers and mine. Friends can still mail cards and such to the facility, but I don’t want important papers going there.
