From what I read, neither is curable. There are medications and treatments that may help.

We are a forum of caregivers. As such not experts or professions to the point we should advise on care unless we have experienced these problems. I think your Neurologist should be advising you in your husbands care. Maybe seeing a specialist in Neurology.

The swallowing should be seen by someone who can advise you on what types of foods he should and should not be eating. Most people with swallowing problems need to thicken even water or they aspirate it into their lungs and this causes Pneumonia.
