Find Care & Housing
Medicaid or veterans assistance are your only real options for payment other than your mother’s assets — and neither will pay you Much above minimum wage. Medicaid is not likely to pay more than 20-30 hours per week. Makes better sense for you to work a higher paid job privately and pay a Lower wage and less skilled caregiver. 24/7 care is cheaper for state agencies provided in a nursing home.

are there any resources for PA? i was trying to get paid as a caregiver but was told in PA my mom had to apply for Medicaid. I am afraid that i would barely get paid minimum wage for all my care giving hours.
