We have hired Home health aid for my mother-in-law (subject of a previous discussion I had on this site) thru an agency. She is with my mother-in-law for only 4 hours a day for 10 days. All the HHA has to do is make sure Mom takes her Meds and provide some company. It is working out well and the aid is very nice. Mom likes her. My question is....do we leave a tip for her at the end of her two weeks?

What a beautiful thoughtful thing to do!!!! Absolutely , it will make her feel so appreciated, and it will be a memory maker for her.... you must be a wonderful person to work for.... thank you to all the paid caregivers out there... wish there were more family members like you !!!!

I think that would be a great idea. These folks don't make much money and turnover is high. I'd she's doing a good job, let her know with a bonus and tell her how much you appreciate her.
