I see by your bio that your 52 yr old son, who is a stroke patient, has had his hours cut to 20 per week. What were they before? What services did they provid or was it primarily that it gave you the ability to go out for awhile and not have to worry about your son?

What are your options?

My DH aunt had an aid for 3 hours in the morning and one in the evening. She could have gotten by with less in the morning but the lady who came then also did light house keeping, laundry, gave meds, took vitals, changed and dressed aunt. She did a lot and still managed to visit with her. The one hour in the evening also did a lot with getting her ready for bed and visiting with her. But she also had home health and then later hospice care.
It is a challenge and I’m sorry you have had this happen.
