Hi all,
I have been suffering from intraocular pressure, and my doctor has suggested me to undergo surgery. But, I am not sure if this will cure it completely. Because my ocular nerve is also damaged. I am planning to undergo laser surgery from an eye center in Washington. I wanted to know, has anyone else faced such an issue ? Will undergoing surgery help in reducing the pressure ? And, what all to be kept in mind while going for the surgery ? Looking forward to your advice.

My sister had laser treatment, it was a simple procedure performed during an office visit. It won't reverse any damage already done but is aimed at preventing further vision loss. This is not a cure, you will still probably need your drops and have to monitor your vision carefully.

Juanjohn, my sig other had this type of surgery for glaucoma and it was successful. He was so happy he didn't need to use those drops any more because of the stinging side effect when first put in.
